Current Practices

What is official Mystara is sometimes up to debate, but most of the Mystara community can agree on certain things being canon, and other things being unofficial. Certainly published works by TSR should be considered official, even if they require a note about which edition of D&D they belong under. Official material should go in the default or root namespace (see a note about name spaces below).

Unofficial content or works in progress (yet to be accepted as official) should go under the "unofficial" namespace.

Shared campaign materials should go under the "campaign" namespace, under a name for your campaign, for example the home page for mycampaign would be:

http://mystara.us/campaign:mycampaign:home

And of course personal stuff can go on your user page.

A note about namespaces

A namespace is analogous to a directory in a filesystem. Referencing a directory in a filesystem usually comprises of a forward (/) or backward (\) slash, for example:

C:\directory\filename

Similarly, referencing a namespace comprises of a colon (:). For example, if I create an article that belongs in the unofficial namespace, its path would be:

http://mystara.us/unofficial:article
